Just 30 minutes from our Slow Village Saint-Cybranetin the village of Le Bugue (in the Vézère valley) is a must-see: the Aquarium du Périgord Noir.
Both fun and educational, it features no fewer than 70 basins spread over 4,000 m² and containing 3 million liters of water. In these basins, you can discover 6,000 marine animals. These impressive figures make the Aquarium du Périgord Noir the largest private freshwater aquarium in Europe.
Among the fish you'll have the chance to see with your family: carp, catfish, myocastors, minnows, carnivores and many other fish from all over the world, as well as numerous species of reptiles (iguanas, turtles, snakes...).

The Aquarium du Périgord Noir is sure to delight children and parents alike!
The classic admission ticket gives you access to the entire aquarium. You can also opt for the pleasure pass, which also includes entry to the Prehistoric Labyrinth and Jungle Golf, or for the adventure pass, which also gives you access to the Big Bird.
These three theme parks are also located in the commune of Le Bugue.
The Prehistoric Labyrinth takes a playful look at prehistory, with a riddle game and a labyrinth of mirrors as you search for the last surviving Cro-Magnon man. For a family outing, there's nothing better than Jungle Golf, an 18-hole miniature golf course set in lush vegetation and surrounded by animals, all in a musical atmosphere cooled by misters. Finally, the Big Bird is an invitation to adventure; perched 22 m high, you'll find yourself on Europe's highest aerial acrobatic course, with a whole range of challenges to overcome (tire crossing, snowboarding at altitude, monkey bridge...).
