Tourism Kerlouan
In the heart of Pagan country, Kerlouan is famous for its hamlet of Meneham, a mythical spot on the Côte des Légendes. If you're staying at a Kerlouan campsite, you won't want to miss this ancient village of peasants, fishermen and seaweed growers, built between monumental granite rocks facing the sea. A former guardhouse, the hamlet of Meneham offers a wide view stretching from the Île Vierge lighthouse to the Pontusval lighthouse. Uninhabited since the turn of the 21st century, the village has been completely restored and is now the object of special preservation. It can be explored through two museographic exhibits, in the guardhouse and the Salou house, an open-air exhibition, and a trail through the old bread ovens and seaweed kilns. The natural site that shelters the village of Meneham is also exceptional: a hike along the GR 34 trail allows you to admire the changing landscapes of the rocky coast and observe the rich biodiversity of the dune environment during your family vacation. Inland, Kerlouan also boasts a rich built heritage, particularly religious: don't miss the church of Saint-Brévalaire and several chapels, including Sainte-Anne, Saint-Egarec, Saint-Guénal, Saint-Sauveur and du Croazou.
