Crozon peninsula: what to see, what to do
Situated in two protected areas between land and sea, the Parc Naturel Régional d'Armorique and the Parc Naturel Marin d'Iroise, the Crozon peninsula is a fabulous playground for hikers.
You'll find numerous trails on Cap de la Chèvre, Pointe de Dinan, Pointe du Toulinguet and Pointe de Pen-Hir, with stunning views of the coast and ocean. Whether you're in North or South Brittany, you're sure to find plenty of coves and sandy beaches during your seaside holiday.
If you love remarkable monuments, head for Camaret-sur-Mer to admire the Vauban Tower, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the Notre-Dame-de-Rocamadour chapel. The commune also boasts a megalithic site comprising some 80 menhirs, the Lagatjar alignments.
There are several museums on the peninsula, including the Musée des vieux métiers vivants (Argol) and the Musée de l'école rurale en Bretagne (Trégarvan), where you can learn more about the history of the local people and their way of life.
In Crozon, you can go hiking on the GR34 or sentier des Douaniers (120 km of trails), try your hand at rock-climbing and enjoy a wide range of water sports (sailing, diving, kayaking).
