Naturist beaches in Brittany

Are you looking for a naturist beach in Brittany among the beautiful sandy beaches?
Would you like to enjoy an unusual experience and be in direct contact with nature during your stay at a Finistère Nord campsite?
Head for a naturist beach or a nudist beach to discover the joys of naturism in northern Brittany.

A naturist beach, yes, but what is it?

Too often mistaken for nudism, naturism is an activity that has no sexual and/or exhibitionist connotations.
True naturists don't try to show off their bodies. They simply reveal it, because wearing clothes is an obstacle that prevents them from being in total harmony with the natural world around them.
By going naked, he accepts his body as it is, with all its shapes and flaws. This practice, which is attracting more and more followers in France, helps to boost self-esteem and erase the prejudices that inevitably accompany the wearing of clothes.
On beaches, campsites and other outdoor establishments, naturism has its own rules and values which must be scrupulously respected.
Of course, there's no question of putting on your Adam's suit just anywhere.
On the coast, this discipline is legally authorized by municipal decree. This by-law defines the limits of the area reserved for naturists.
This may be a cove, an entire beach or part of a beach, usually the area furthest from the town center and its infrastructure.
You'll also find a large number of nudist beaches along the Côte des Légendes.

Top 10 naturist beaches in North Brittany

Plage de Perharidi (Roscoff): located on the Perharidi peninsula, north of the Roscoff heliomarine center, between the Jacobins and Conservatoire du Littoral beaches. It is divided into two distinct zones, one sandy and the other pebble-covered.

Plage du Verger (Cancale): Located between the port of Cancale, famous for its oysters, and the Pointe du Grouin, Plage du Verger is very popular in summer, thanks to its quick and easy access. The naturist zone is on the eastern side (on the right, looking out to sea), near the Saussaye beach.

Plage des Chevrets (Saint-Coulomb): This beach has a seductive, unspoilt setting. It is bordered by dunes and Ile Besnard on the left, and Pointe du Meinga on the right. The naturist zone is located on this side. A short coastal path leads along the pointe to the directly accessible Plage du Port. From Saint-Coulomb, head towards Guimorais and park in one of the two parking lots close to the beach.

Plage de la Fourberie (Saint-Lunaire): a small sandy beach just a few minutes' drive from Dinard and Saint-Malo, with disabled access and lifeguard surveillance in summer. Naturism is tolerated in the western part of the beach, near the rocks.

Plage du Lourtouais (Erquy): A charming little beach surrounded by coves and accessible via a coastal path, ideal for naturists looking for peace and quiet. From Erquy town center, take rue du Portuais, turn left into rue de Plaine Garenne and continue to the parking lot. You'll see a small path leading down to the beach. The path continues on the right to Plage Portuais, and on the left to the port and plage du center.

Plage de Nantois (Pléneuf-Val-André): Welcome to the Emerald Coast, near the Pléneuf golf course. From the golf course parking lot, take the narrow path leading to the rocks where Plage du Nantois begins. Note that access to this beach is impossible at high tide.

Plage Sud de l'île d'Aganton (Pleumeur-Bodou): The perfect beach to feel alone in the world on a desert island. Ideally, check the tides so you can walk there in the morning, spend the day and return at the end of the day at low tide.

Plage du Renard de l'île d'Aganton (Pleumeur-Bodou): This beach is as wild and quiet as the south beach, and even less crowded. Looking for a great adventure? Bring your sleeping bag, picnic and bottle of wine for a romantic dinner on the beach and a night under the stars.

Plage de Maez-An-Aod (Lannion): A cove that's not easily accessible, and therefore not very popular. From downtown Lannion, take the D21 towards Trébeurden, then Beg Léguer.

Plage de Kerler (Fouesnant): Let's close our top 10 with a bonus track, the exception that proves the rule, as this beautiful sandy beach is located in South Finistère. This beautiful spit of sand lies between the ocean and a marsh, the Marais de Mousterlin.
